Q & A with Lama Lena ∙ February 21, 2021

by Justin Chökyi Thinley

In this live question and answer period, Lama Lena answers questions about the yoga of dancing stillness, obstacles and geks, chöd, and more.

“Your perceptions change. It is of the nature of thoughts, feelings, and perceptions to change. They are impermanent. Impermanence is a word for the moving. Ok? You gotta get really clear here. So as not to confuse the perception of infinite open awareness – of tawa – with tawa. You cannot stabilize the moving. It is of its nature to move. You cannot move the stillness. No matter how much moving goes on, the stillness does not move. Having clarified the difference between the two, in your own heart, now examine how the moving arises in the stillness. Without moving the stillness. Without departing from the stillness. Dissolves in the stillness. And there is no actual thing which moved. Your thoughts move. What moved?”
