Square One – Investigating Buddhism is a 6-week study group for those who are deepening their understanding of Buddhism, led by Elisa Gonzalez. This session is Part 2 and is for those who participated in Part 1 or who already have some understanding of basic Buddhism.
ABOUT THIS GROUP:
If you already understand what “ego”, “skandhas”, “samsara”, “6 Realms”, “3 Poisons”, “Abhidharma”, “Wheel of Life”, mean, then this study group may be for you.
This group is geared towards students who have a basic understanding of the Buddhist system. If you have already had teachings in Buddhism, but feel you still have gaps with regard to the Bodhisattva path and beginning Vajrayana, then please join this group as we will investigate together.
If you are not familiar with those terms, then it would be better to join a Square One – Part 1 study group first. I will be starting one of these again very soon.
We would like to keep the cap at 25 to 30 participants to facilitate discussions.
PRACTICE:
These sessions are discussion-based. We will always add a short meditation period at the end.
TIME:
– Mondays @ 9AM PDT / 12PM EDT | 1-1.5 hr sessions
– The first 6-week session runs September 27 thru November 1
