The 21 Taras – A Vajrayana Practice

by Justin Chökyi Thinley

In all of the major lineages of Vajrayana Buddhism, Tārā is a beloved and trusted beacon of wisdom, compassion, and protection from fear. The Praise to Tārā with 21 Verses is a powerful practice for removing obstacles and increasing merit, wisdom, and compassion.

In this teaching, Lama Lena gives the transmission of the entire praise and the individual mantras for each Tara. She explains each Tara’s role in specific practices and how to use her energy to accomplish our aims.

The wisdom, compassion and activity of all the buddhas arise in the form of the utterly beautiful goddess. Seeking refuge in and respectfully supplicating you pacifies all obstacles and accomplishes all aims.”

This teaching was streamed live from Lama Lena’s home on January 30th, 2021
