Long Life Prayer for Yeshe Kaytup Rinpoche (Lama Lena)

by Lama Tasha Star

Of the trillions of knowledge-holders,
The chief is the Supreme Ekajati,
Whose sunshine-like activity you pervade in everyone,
Yes! Into the pure wisdom magic of your heart.
Emaho! Glorious teacher Yeshe Kaytup, may you live long.
Dzogchen is the Dakinis’ twilight speech,
Being firm and everlasting,
You are the Dakinis’ primordial sound,
Gathering the liveliness of space in light.

Yeshe Kaytup, may sublime ones and
All those with the eye opened
At the end of space,
Watch over you, watch within you,
Watch as you, watch through you.
I pray with the only prayer I know.

Splendorous protectress of secret mantra,
Inexhaustibly protecting
All in the blazing expanse of luminosity,
Ripe with the splendid fruit of benefit to all,
May your fortunate disciples shine forth abundantly,
Subsuming all worlds,
Singing songs of glittering auspiciousness;
Your flavorful essence of unmistaken wisdom,
Its marvellous nectar directly
Quenching all thirst, right here,
Being the great comfort of
Living what you teach.
