It is the classic text for introducing the Dzogchen view to meditators of varied experience. Lama Lena will present how it relates to Mahamudra as well as Dzogchen.

August 2-7: Dharma centre of Canada (ON) – “Self-Liberation thru Naked Awareness: A Guru Rinpoche Text”

This instruction on the method of self-liberation presents the essence of Dzogchen, the great Perfection, which is regarded in Tibet as the highest and most esoteric teaching of the Buddha. “Teachings for liberation in a single lifetime”, the text that this retreat is based in, was written and concealed by Guru Padmasambhava in the eight century and rediscovered six centuries later by Karma Lingpa.

To work with this teaching one first needs transmission from a realized master in the form of an introduction to the state of presence and awareness (rigpa), which is the capacity of the nature of mind. This introduction is offered in retreat with Lama Lena and is a rare opportunity to receive instruction with time for practice and to ask questions.
